Production Services
As first theatre jobs go, I feel very lucky to say mine was Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End. It is where many skills became embedded in me - speed, confidence, team work, wig work and the show must go on!
Since then live work, wether in television or theatre has alway been special to me.
For many year I worked for Sky Sports on a freelance basis as a make-up artist looking after presentation teams on football, rugby, boxing and darts fixtures across the country. With an extensive contact list of other artists, production managers would call me to find them a suitably qualified artist often at the last minute.
In the theatre, I have been called on the assist in various large scale musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Miserables. Whilst at Wigs Up North, we offered production assistance to The Manchester International Festival from its inception and to the Royal Northern College of Music for their end of year productions. We also supervised annually for The Buxton Festival and my involvement still continues fifteen years later in an advisory capacity.
In 2023, I was thrilled to supervise wigs and make-up at The Royal Exchange in Manchester on Betty - A New Kind of Musical. To hear the audience howl with laughter provides very happy memoreis.
